Ludovic Labat

Ludovic Labat, Ph.D., is the CEO of Neo-Bionica, an advanced MedTech contract engineering and manufacturing consultancy headquartered in Melbourne, Australia and serving clients in countries around the world.

As a business leader, Ludovic has over 20 years’ experience in the medical device and technology industry in Europe, the US, and Asia Pacific with a range of global companies including Fortive, Danaher, Siemens, Tektronix, and Invetech. He has a record of proven success in bringing innovations to market and generating profitable growth in global high-tech and medical device markets.

Andrew Maxwell

Chairman, Wavewise

Andrew is MD of Chatsworth Associates, working with innovators, and entrepreneurs to plan equity raisings, corporate transactions, and international business development programs. Andrew is currently the Chairman of Wavewise Analytics (formerly Cyban), which has received funding from several notable funds, including Breakthrough Victoria. Wavewise has developed a next generation brain pulse monitor that advances the treatment of brain injuries by delivering reliable information continuously. From 2021 – Feb 2024, Andrew was Investment Committee Chair and Venture Partner for Significant Early Venture Capital. As CEO of ESCOR Private Equity (a Smorgon Family Company), Andrew established and managed a $40m investment fund making investments in the IT, Internet, Biotech, Healthcare, Alternative Energy and Manufacturing technology sectors.

Dr Erin McAllum

Associate Director – Targeted Translation Research Accelerator, AUScelerate – formerly MTPConnect

Dr Erin McAllum has been with AUScelerate (formerly MTPConnect) since 2020, helping drive the translation of health and medical research into real-world impact through national accelerator programs, including the $78.5 million Targeted Translation Research Accelerator (TTRA) supported by the Australian Government’s Medical Research Future Fund.

An experienced investment program manager and specialist in life science innovation, translation and strategy, she is dedicated to supporting young companies and entrepreneurs turning their ideas into real-world solutions for significant unmet health needs. Her role at AUScelerate spans the funding life cycle from designing investment opportunities, to due diligence and technology assessment, and support of funded companies to accelerate their innovations towards commercialisation and implementation.

Erin also has a strong research foundation, with a background in biochemistry and neurodegenerative diseases.

A/Prof Tina Soulis, Ph.D.

Founder and Director, Alithia Life Sciences

A/Prof Tina Soulis, Ph.D., is Founder and Director of Alithia Life Sciences, an Australian-owned full-service clinical research organization (CRO) supporting global biopharmaceutical, medtech, and research clients with operational excellence across early- and late-phase studies. With over 30 years of leadership in clinical trials, biotechnology, and academic research, she is also Strategic Advisor to Kinoxis Therapeutics and a Portfolio Australian Director for multiple international biotech entities.

Dr. Soulis earned her Ph.D. in Medicine from the University of Melbourne, where her research focused on the role of advanced glycation end products in diabetic complications. She also holds a B.Sc. in Biochemistry and Medicine. Throughout her career, she has held executive roles including CEO of Neuroscience Trials Australia—where she grew the business by 39% annually and Director of Clinical Development for an ASX200 biotech company, where she led programs from lab through global regulatory approval.

A clinical trial expert across therapeutic areas including neuroscience, oncology, endocrinology, rare and pediatric diseases, and medical devices, Dr. Soulis has built Alithia into a bespoke, high-integrity CRO known for zero staff turnover and seamless global execution. She is one of the few Australian leaders to have successfully taken multiple products from preclinical research to licensing and commercialization.

Marina Yastreboff

Marina Yastreboff GAICD MAICD is a governance, risk and compliance leader, technology lawyer and company director with experience across medical technology, healthcare, digital government and research. She is General Consel of ServiceGen and has held senior legal and leadership roles across medical technology, healthcare and research-intensive organisations, including Cochlear, Philips, UNSW and Western Sydney University. Marina also severs on several boards, including the Starlight Foundation Data and Digital Advisory Board.

As President and Chair of the Australasian Society for Computers & Law, Marina leads multidisciplinary engagement on AI, digital governance and emerging technology policy. Her interests include the responsible development of neurotechnology, the protection of sensitive and neural data, and the need for legal and governance frameworks that preserve human autonomy, dignity and trust as technology becomes increasingly integrated with healthcare and human decision-making.
